  •   Elected as Member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences in October 2011
  • Was nominated on Expert panel for WHO SEARO Project entitled, “Development of Guidelines for Still births review and sentinel surveillance in context of congenital syphilis”.

  • Awarded Snehlata memorial Award  for best paper entitled “Role of Mycoplasma genitalium in infertility and cervicitis in north Indian non pregnant women A pilot study”in  9th national   Conference  cum workshop of  Indian association of Mycoplasmologists held from 17th- 18th  September 2010 at GMCH sector 32 Chandigarh
  • Awarded Best Paper entitled “ Prevalence and genetic characterization of TEM genes and their carrying B–lactamases plasmids in Neisseria gonorrhoeae cultured in 2000-2011 in 15 countries  in IUSTI New delhi 2011 from 2nd to 5th November 
  • Invited as judge in panel for adjudging the best poster  presentation in a conference on Biotechnica 2010 held from 16th to 18th  November 2010 at Panjab university Chandigarh
  •  Appointed as Nodal officer of RNTCP accredited lab and line probe assay Lab in PGI Chandigarh
  • Awarded  travel scholarship by 13th  IUSTI world congress , to speak on “Risk factors for STI and HIV in India” in Melbourne , Australia from 14th to 17th October 2012
